Remodeling Tip #416: See What Can be Found in the Classified Ads
A lot of people have forgotten that the classifieds are good places where people unload items they don’t need or want anymore. Many of these sale items are cheap and you may be able to negotiate the price. Begin in the early phases of your remodeling project for this process and look in the papers frequently. Remember that descriptions are often brief and you will need to call to get more information. You may need to see the item in order to know. Remember, too, that many items can be reconditioned, modified or otherwise altered in order to meet your remodeling needs. Be persistent and don’t forget to be imaginative.
