Smart home remodeling decisions include making the choice of who will be the project manager. The decision you make can impact the total cost of your project. It’s possible to have the general contractor do the project management job, you can yourself take over that job or you can hire a consultant who will carry on that function. This is a job that requires:
1. Providing a schedule that puts the various aspects of the job in the correct order and provides a timeline for the project
2. Making sure all materials are on the jobsite and the appropriate time
3. Having a contingency plan so that, in case something happens, the progress of the work will continue
4. Working with, finding and arranging time for the subcontractors to comme
5. Solving any problems
6. Getting the correct inspections and permits that are needed as the project progresses
7. Reevaluating the work and overseeing work flow
8. Paying all bills
9. Providing for the disposal of old materials, scraps and trash
10.Making certain the work is going at the expected pace and that quality work is being done.
